Admission Criteria: Seeking drug and/or alcohol use related counseling or education for: self, family member or significant other
Payment Plan: Self-pay, sliding scale, Medicaid, Medicaid managed care, private insurance, Medicare. Prevention services are provided free of charge.
Population Served: Adults, adolescents, families, significant others and those seeking consultations. Elementary, middle and high school students, parents and community members throughout Long Island
Services Provided: Outpatient. Medically-Supervised Substance Use Disorder treatment and prevention counseling; Assessment; Individualized treatment planning; Psychiatric Evaluation; Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) including inductions; Ongoing Medication Management Individual therapy; Group therapy; counseling for families, parents, and significant others of substance users; Counseling for Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA); School-based counseling and prevention programs; Referrals; Coordination of Care; Vocational counseling; Specialized programs for adolescents, young adults, women, men and court mandated referrals; Court-approved DWI and DUI programs; Substance Use Disorder Psychoeducation programs.
Prevention & education. Evidenced based and non-evidenced based substance use prevention and education programs, including the following school based curriculum: Too Good for Drugs, Life Skills, Positive Action, and Eight Dimensions of Wellness; Assessment and intervention program Teen Intervene; Various youth empowerment activities geared toward making positive changes and developing health habits; Increasing protective factors which guard against substance use and reducing risk factors for substance use; community-based efforts toward healthy social norm changes and environmental strategies; Drug testing kits available; Full prevention/youth enrichment program guides available; many of these programs are provided in collaboration with the Smithtown Youth Bureau.
